Cinema 4D- SoundMovement

Cinema 4D - Logo

I did borrow the shapes for this logo from the web. Create a logo and light it.

Cinema 4D - City

I created a city in Cinema 4D based on Venice. I changed some of the shapes and created only 1 river. Then I ran a camera through it.

Cinema 4D - Robot

We were to create a robot using simple shapes and tools. Mine is a robot who works under water.

We had to make 3 -5 second videos for 3 different songs off one album of a muscian or band of our choice. I chose The Play, Ain't Dreams Like That, and Photograph from the band State of Mind out of Carlsbad, CA.

I originally was going to include this in my final project.  Later I realized it was too much. I took a photograph and made it move :)

Motgrph 1 Final Project

I don't think I ever got a chance to post this one because my hard drive crashed. This was my final project from Motion Graphics 1. I chose to do a commercial for Zombie, Run -a running app that I had just started using.

Typeography-Kinetic Type

We were given the choice of using a quote from Dazed and Confused or one of our own. I chose a quote from American Psycho. WARNING: there is some profane language and well it is not a very nice quote. I chose it not because of the original message but because of the unusual twist that Christian Bale's character puts on it. I chose Adobe Caslon for Josh Lucas' character who starts the conversation.(An important part of the movie is about business cards. That is why I picked it) Charme for the comment about the martini bar. And then Avant Garde for Christian's character. (His character is very OCD about everything and I feel that Avant Garde fits this personality)

Typeography-Broadcast Package

For this project I chose to remake the Animal Planet logo and branding. I used to love the old SciFi channel promos that were unique and usually you never knew what was going to happen. I incorporated some of that into this one. I chose bauhaus font for the main part of the logo and pushed the letters together to get a more animal/alligator type feel to it. 

Here is a new logo, bug and lower third.

In our Motion Graphics 2 class, we spent the whole semester on one project. We did it in groups of three. My group decided to do a promo for HGTV. We used some of their current branding.
